This is an inside or outside finish. When you see pictures of the buildings in Italian Villas this is probably what you are seeing. The finish starts with a true lime plaster with a very coarse texture and then an optional interest layer of texture can be added making it feel like true walls of antiquity. The color can be mixed in with the plaster for a very subtle mottling or applied on top in a lime wash for more mottling. Great for hiding minor drywall imperfections.
